6.1. Boone Central Recognitions
Discussion:
Knott- Joel Sup. I can’t thank him enough for the multiple hats he wears. From the business classroom, FBLA, assistant VB coach, head speech coach and assistant one-act...Joel is very active. I more recently became better familiar with all of the responsibilities that come along with the entrepreneurial class lead Gateway Theatre. Thanks Joel for all you do for our students, staff and community. Roberts- Lowell and Mr. Look and all they do with the building maintenance, especially with the cooling tower and trying to figure that out! There is a lot to look at in the future for the building. Frey- I would like to recognize Mr. Sup and Mrs. Wiese on the One-Act. They did a great job putting a fun show together, and the students did a great job. Stuhr- Mrs. Thome did a great job with the Christmas concert. It’s amazing that she can control the whole gym with a single clap. She put on a great show once again. Fogleman- I would like to recognize our secretaries again. This year especially is always hectic and they handle so much. From phone calls to school nurse duties they have a wide range of responsibilities. Thanks to all of them for going above and beyond. Rolf- Thank you to all who have been involved in the Negotiations Committee, the negotiations went smoothly, and I appreciate everyone who was involved in that process. Look- I would like to recognize our students and staff for their accomplishments related to the NSCAS/AQuESTT ratings. This is a great accomplishment for all of them and the district as a whole! I would also like to recognize the One-Act students and sponsors. They put together a great production this year! Larsen- The Valero Safety Buckets are a great addition to our building and have been placed in various spaces throughout the entire district. Thanks for your generosity! HS Students - We have GREAT students here at Boone Central who are high achievers and are very involved in our district! Not only do they bring a great deal of energy, but our students showing up and cheering in the student section add to the atmosphere for all of our contests! Speaking to the student section, I appreciate how it has become the expectation for our students to pick up their trash. It’s a small thing, but is noticed in a big way. We have GREAT students who show up and show out in all that they do. They are great ambassadors for our school!Curry- Our Music Teachers have done a great job this semester. I appreciate the opportunities we are giving our 5th-grade band students by co-teaching 1st period. The winter concert will be on Wednesday, and they have done a great job to get our students ready to perform |

6.3. Board Reports
Discussion:
Negotiations - an agreement has been made in a seamless negotiation process. The base has been increased by $1,200 to help catch up with the schools in our array.
Transportation Facilities - there is some work that needs to be done with the movie theater. The school has played a role in running the theater. A community group, along the school, will be planning for what the future holds. The high school entrepreneur class helps with running the back side of the theater. AEF - they have decided to increase the scholarship rate from $5,000 to $10,000 per year. Each applicant can receive this amount annually. This is a great asset for our kids. For the Big Give, AEF was raising money for an outdoor learning space. |

6.4. Superintendent Report
Discussion:
Mr. Look - The district is crrently falling under budget. Elementary and middle school rated excellent, and the high school and district rated great for NSCAS/AQuESTT testing scores. The district has met with the ESU for strategic planning. There has been some discussion around the website progress. Two suburbans have arrived. Safety committee meeting this week.

6.5. Principal & AD Reports
Discussion:
Larsen- Attended the State Principals Conference last week, a lot of learning; Topics will be coming down the pipe here for next year. Continued emphasis on Chronic Absenteeism, something all districts are dealing with. Thinking about the impact of AI, when to use? How to teach? Clarity on SPED Rules/Practices. AQuESTT Changes for next year. Early Graduate Applications-4 students Kayton- Elementary moved and improved from Great to Excellent! Kudos to our students and teachers for the great work! Winter Maps and FastBridge testing has begun! We are excited to dig through the data and recognize students and their growth along with attendance at our December Rockin’ Rally! Tomorrow we will be taking some 4th grade students to The Dotted Daisy for our Community Coffee! They will be showcasing their writing and social studies projects from the past month. |
